If a woman is pregnant and she receive mumps will it affect the infant?if yes after how?
A natural mumps infection during pregnancy does not exact birth defects or premature birth. However, if the woman have mumps during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, the risk of miscarriage is increased.
Mumps virus is not teratogenic. It will not cause any defect in the child. However, high warmth due to any cause can spoil a baby and motive abortion.
