If one is on a ventilator, is it possible to do entry approaching swallow, blow your feeler and cough?
it feels close to u need to cough because of the endotracheal tube but u cant make conversation, cough or blow your nose. as for the comment roughly the vent breathing for you, if can but there are also modes (psv) where on earth the patient is doing adjectives the breathing, the vent is just supporting the breath not in fact giving it. we do suction the patients, using a catheter down the tube into the lungs to suck out the mucus.
Only if there is a tracheostomy, not endotracheal intubation. The functions you mention are taken aid of by the nurse or respiratory therapist using a suction catheter.
You be aware of like you obligation to cough because of what is in your throat but you can not do anything but the ventilator is doing adjectives the breathing for you. I have be told by people who be on the vent that they feel similar to they need to cough or receive something out of their throat. I don't remember what it was close to when I was on the vent. They have me pretty sedated to keep me from combat it.
YES!!
of course my father's on ventilator he coughs he blows blows his feeler and swallows.
